There is no cure for diabetes, but it can be managed. Balancing the food, you eat with exercise and medicine (if prescribed) will help you control your weight and can keep your blood glucose in the healthy range. This can help prevent or delay complications. Many people with diabetes live long and healthful lives.
Support Group Information
The Diabetes Support Group helps you sift through all the information available and find the tools you need to live as healthy as possible.
The goals of Diabetes Support in Havasu are to:
First and foremost, to support others with the disease process and prevention of complications of diabetes whether it is Type 1 or Type 2
Each member of the group will be equally important and will share their concerns regarding their disease process. They will benefit from sharing their experiences and learning will continue each and every month.
Recipes and phone numbers can be shared.
Guest speakers will be made available as requested.
