Living Well with Chronic Pain

Living with chronic pain often means carrying quiet losses that others may not see — the loss of work, income, friendships, family closeness, trust, and even a sense of who you once were. These losses bring grief, a pain felt deep inside. Mourning is the tender process of letting that pain move outward, giving it space to be acknowledged.

Veterans' Alumni Association

Alumni Association

The goals of the veterans' Alumni Association: The continuation of friendship after their obligation to the court and graduating from the Lake Havasu City Veterans' Treatment Court.

  • Experiencing friendships between vets, mentors, and court officials.
  • An opportunity to be in a casual setting to talk about sports, current events, military life, and assorted other subjects.
  • A safe place for peer-to-peer support.
  • Effectiveness of trust-building and higher levels of motivation-building.
  • Reduce recidivism

In 2018 the Havasu Community Health Foundation established the Veterans' Transportation Program.  Dave is the Facilitator of this very successful program, where Veterans' in the Treatment Court can call for a ride to court, lab testing, and counseling.

The General

We want no Veteran left behind, in the program, because they do not have access to a vehicle.  To show respect for the driver and the vehicle, we refer to the vehicle as

"The GENERAL"
