About Cancer Association of Havasu
The Cancer Association of Havasu is a community-based program under the Havasu Community Health Foundation umbrella, dedicated to supporting local cancer patients, survivors, and their families throughout every stage of their journey.
We believe that no one in Lake Havasu City should face a cancer diagnosis without support. Through individualized sessions, hydrotherapy, peer connection, and community events, we help patients and survivors find strength, resources, and hope.
Our programs are free or low-cost and open to all Lake Havasu City residents. Whether you are newly diagnosed, in active treatment, or in recovery, the Cancer Association of Havasu is here for you.
Our Programs & Services
Individualized Support Sessions
One-on-one support sessions tailored to the unique needs of each cancer patient or survivor — providing emotional support, practical guidance, and connection to local resources.
Hydrotherapy
Therapeutic water-based sessions designed to help cancer patients manage pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being during and after treatment.
Bosom Buddies
A peer support program connecting breast cancer patients and survivors with others who have shared similar experiences — offering encouragement, understanding, and friendship.
Cancer Screenings
Affordable cancer screenings for uninsured and underinsured Lake Havasu City residents — because early detection saves lives.
Community Support Groups
Regular group gatherings where cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers can share experiences, find encouragement, and build lasting community connections.
Community Awareness Events
Annual fundraising and awareness events — including the Cancer Dinner — that bring the Lake Havasu community together to support local cancer patients and fund vital programs.
