Havasu Heart Society

Our Havasu Heart Society Features a variety of education and support meetings for patients, families, and caregivers affected by or facing cardiac procedures. With cardiovascular disease as the leading cause of death in Mohave County, the Heart Society of Havasu is peer-to-peer support for heart-related and is devoted to the detection, prevention, and treatment of various cardiovascular diseases.  The educators are Doctors from our medical community and Health and Wellness Professionals to assist our community members to live the healthiest life possible.

Upcoming Programs to look for in the Fall, of 2022:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation makes a big difference in the quality-of-life patients recovering from heart attacks, heart surgery, angioplasty, and/or angina will benefit from a presentation of our HRMC’s Cardiac Rehab Facility.
  • “What’s in a name? Know Your Medication is a presentation offered to the group by a leading pharmacist in Lake Havasu City.
  • How will Medicare Regulatory Updates Affect You?
  • What’s new in Cardiac Procedures at Havasu Regional Medical Center
  • Ask a Doc! A Question & Answer program on Heart Health Information

Howard Weiske

Howard Weiske recently returned to Havasu Community Health Foundation (HCHF). While gone, having had a heart issue that was complicated by Covid events that caused a scheduling delay.  Now beginning to organize “HEART SUPPORT DEPARTMENT” of HCHF for the community of the Lake Havasu region.  Working with the many care providers and Doctors we expect to reduce anxieties and answer many important questions leading to quicker personal results.  I have continued to serve as a volunteer on the Arizona Supreme Court staff. Also continuing to head up an education endowment activity to help young adults in the community.
