The Stonebridge Veterans' is a program under the Havasu Community Health Foundation where we honor all service branches and celebrate their achievements by creating an opportunity to make a difference in their lives through camaraderie, community education, ongoing support, and services, and where no veteran suffers in isolation.
It takes a community to heal a warrior
Randy Nelson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force following his 18th birthday. After two months of training, he was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, MT. In March 1965, he volunteered for a worldwide assignment and was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford, England in May 1965.
In 2016 Randy relocated to Payson, AZ, while there he visited a Coffee-Time meeting that had recently started with approximately ten veterans attending the meetings. He soon became a co-host to assist in the growth and development of Coffee-Time which grew to over 200 veterans.
He and two other veterans started the Veterans Coffee-Time at Lake Havasu City in September 2022. The Coffee-Time in Lake Havasu City officially changed its name to Stonebridge Veterans in March 2023 and now has over 90 veterans.
The Stonebridge Coffee-Time is now a program under the Havasu Community Health Foundation where they celebrate Veteran’s achievements, by creating an opportunity to make a difference in their lives through camaraderie, community education, and ongoing support and services.
