At HCHF, we believe every veteran deserves dignity, access to care, and a strong community behind them. Our Veterans Programs are designed to meet the real, everyday needs of veterans living in and around Lake Havasu City — from housing and healthcare to veterans treatment court and transportation.
We work alongside local partners, volunteer networks, and community donors to ensure no veteran falls through the cracks. Whether you're a recently transitioned service member or a longtime resident who served decades ago, our doors are open.
All of our veteran services are funded entirely through community donations and run by dedicated volunteers who share a deep respect for military service.
How We Help Veterans
Affordable Housing Support
We assist homeless and at-risk veterans with affordable housing resources and referrals, helping them find stable, safe living situations in the Lake Havasu area.
Low-Cost Lab Access
Veterans can access HCHF's heavily discounted blood panels and lab work — the same affordable screenings available to all community members, with special outreach to the veteran population.
Backpacks for Homeless Veterans
We assemble and distribute backpacks packed with essential items — hygiene products, clothing, and basic necessities — for veterans experiencing homelessness in our community.
Transportation Assistance
Free transportation to Veterans Treatment Court hearings and counseling sessions, ensuring veterans can access the legal and mental health support they need without transportation being a barrier.
Veterans Treatment Court Support
We partner with the Veterans Treatment Court program to provide rides, coordination, and community support for veterans navigating the court system and seeking rehabilitation.
Community Connection
Connecting veterans with local resources, peer support networks, and community organizations so no veteran feels isolated or forgotten in Lake Havasu City.
