About YOU Matter
YOU Matter is a suicide awareness and emotional health program under the Havasu Community Health Foundation umbrella, dedicated to supporting Lake Havasu City residents who are struggling with emotional health, grief, crisis, or thoughts of suicide.
We believe that every person in our community deserves access to compassionate mental health support — regardless of their ability to pay. Through free LCSW assessments, short-term counseling sessions, and community awareness events, we help individuals find hope and healing.

Our Programs & Services
Free LCSW Assessment
A free, confidential assessment with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to evaluate emotional health needs and connect individuals with the right level of care and community resources.
Short-Term Counseling Sessions
Up to 1 to 6 free counseling sessions for individuals in emotional distress — providing a safe, supportive space to process feelings, develop coping strategies, and find stability.
Crisis Support & Referrals
Immediate connection to crisis resources including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and local emergency services for individuals in acute crisis.
Suicide Awareness Education
Community presentations and outreach events that raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce stigma around mental health, and teach warning signs and how to help.
Grief & Loss Support
Compassionate support for individuals and families navigating grief, loss, and bereavement — helping them find community connection and a path forward.
Community Awareness Events
Annual and seasonal events that bring the Lake Havasu community together to honor those lost to suicide, support survivors, and promote emotional wellness for all.
