Healthy Kids. Bright Futures. — HCHF's annual back-to-school health fair brings free screenings, vision checks, dental care, nutrition education, and community resources directly to Lake Havasu City's children and families.
Investing in the Health of Our Next Generation
Every child deserves a healthy start. HCHF's Youth Health Fair is a free, community-wide event held each year to give Lake Havasu City kids the health resources they need before heading back to school.
Volunteer healthcare professionals, community partners, and HCHF staff come together to provide hands-on screenings, education, and giveaways — all at no cost to families. From vision and dental checks to nutrition guidance and fun activities, the fair is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and impactful.
The event is made possible entirely through community donations and the generosity of local healthcare partners who share our belief that every child in Lake Havasu deserves to thrive.
What We Offer at the Fair
Health Screenings
Free basic health screenings for children including blood pressure, BMI, and general wellness checks performed by volunteer healthcare professionals.
Vision Checks
On-site vision screening to identify potential eyesight issues in children before they affect learning and development in the classroom.
Dental Care Education
Hands-on dental hygiene education for kids — including brushing demonstrations, toothbrush giveaways, and guidance from volunteer dental professionals.
Nutrition Education
Fun, age-appropriate nutrition education helping children and parents understand healthy eating habits and make better food choices every day.
Community Resources
Connecting families with local health and social service resources — from insurance enrollment assistance to community programs available year-round.
Fun & Activities
Games, giveaways, backpacks, school supplies, and activities that make health education fun and memorable for kids of all ages.
